Tomorrow will be the beginning of the Iranian New Year "Norooz". Last year was not a good year for me in terms of making money. But it was a big success due to some unique work that I completed.
First I covered the World Cup 2006 in Germany as a photojournalist, and then I participated in Vancouver International Film Festival with my feature length documentary "13.5".
After that I had a chance to go to the Roger Waters' concert in Air Canada Centre. Then I finished my first docu-drama film entitled "Aref Squared" and now I have my fingers crossed for its success.
Another of my short documentaries, "Napoli is a Cat", was edited. I've finished the English version of "Canadian Muslims", which is a ten part documentary about the daily life and challenges of the Muslim community in Toronto.
I've worked on my photo projects such as "Breaking the Rules" and "Iranians by Concept", parts of which you may view on my site that was redesigned six months ago.
I also kept busy working hard on my book "Pictorial History of the Modern Theatre in Iran".
In the middle of the year, I also experienced a "Cardiac Event" which served as a wake-up call to enjoy life and not to let even a moment slip away.
I wish the best for all Iranians around the world, and I also wish peace & love for my family and friends. May god bless chocolate.
