1998 - On the 25th anniversary of “A Simple Event” directed by Sohrab Shahid-Sales, encouraged by Mohsen Makhmalbaf and inspired by his idea, I edited a book by the same title, which was published by Nay Publishing LTD. This book consists of the movie screenplay, along with some interviews and articles about the director. The book was released in Farsi and English during Shahid-Sales’s very last days. As I wrote in the foreword of the book: “Shahid-Sales’s films don’t have many dialogues. The overwhelming silence in his works is a combination of emotional injuries and human loneliness.”
